Quantico Series Premiere Thoughts and Impressions

Regardless that all the new recruits are beautiful people especially the main character, Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) I enjoyed Quantico alot more than Blindspot.
Quantico did a good job of balancing the drama with situational humor.
The thing that grabbed my attention was the "who done it" aspect, it reminded me of Agatha Christie's Ten Little Indian's.
I enjoyed seeing the new recruits interrogating each other, I thought it was a clever way to introduce the audience to the cast. All in all a strong start to this new show.
Here's a few things I managed to pick up from the cast, if Simon Asher is gay my name is Rumplestiltskin, he's extremely good at misdirection and might figure out Nimah's secret....which I find hard to believe the FBI academy didn't catch!
I really enjoyed the "relationship" between Ryan and Alex, I hope we see him again...
Liam the instructor has some skeletons in his closet and I bet they're tied into the Grand Central Station Incident...but then again everyone seems to have secrets and anyone one of them could be the terrorist behind the bombing.
Quantico earns a spot on the DVR!

The Muppets S1E1 Pig Girls Don't Cry Thoughts & Impressions

I grew up watching the original Muppet Show, and I've seen many of the movies, most recently Muppets Most Wanted and I never thought Kermit and Co would return to prime time TV but here they are and I totally enjoyed the show!
It's not a rehash of the old show, this Muppet sShow is a reality TV show of the behind the scenes making of Up Late with Miss Piggy complete with individual cut away interviews! The new formula works amazingly well and the writing was relevant and witty! I really enjoyed the first episode, I think my generation will appreciate it for different reasons than younger viewers but there's something to enjoy regardless of age. Like the old show they had a guest star...Elizabeth Banks, and a musical performance also, The Imagine Dragons.
I'm going to watch it again tonight with my son and see if he enjoys it....my wife didn't give it a chance but she also thinks the Minions movie is stupid....
The Muppets stays on the DVR!

Blind Spot Pilot: Thoughts and Impressions

After reading the TV Guide fall preview for this show I added it to my DVR....it sounded interesting and they labeled it as an "editors choice"
A person who's memory has been completely erased on purpose, they discover they have extensive skills with weapons and CQC......sound familiar?
Open your mind....
After watching the premiere of Blind Spot I felt like Jane Doe could be Douglas Quaid's Sister.
I was not blown away by this show like Kurt Weller should have been in the subway scene...that was ridiculous! I'll reduce the size of the explosion by breaking up the C-4 putty....
And who realized to was so easy to disconnect subway cars!

Then there was Jane insisting on going with FBI agent Wellers to help "solve a potential crime",
In the real world the answer would be a resounding no fuckin way, and that's what Wellers tells her....every freaking time! But she keeps saying "I have to go, to help me figure out who I am", and he either changes his mind or hits a brick wall where Jane is the only person who can help him...like talking to the Chinese roommate of the suspect.....really?! With out Jane the FBI would've been lost....

Then Weller agrees to let Jane go to Ellis Island to stop the perp from blowing up Lady Liberty with C-4....good thing because he got his ass beat by a disgruntled man with a switchblade.Jane shows up in the nick of time to save highly trained FBI agent Wellers! He gives a complete stranger permission to shoot Chao (that's the "bad guy") with his side arm while Chao holds a blade to Wellers neck! REALLY!?
After watching this I could practically see Agents Mulder, Scully and Dunham facepalming in unison.
I'm all for strong female leads but I think Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) is better than this.
Blindspot made me wish I could forget what I just watched.
I'm gonna keep this show on the DVR for a few more episodes but my initial impression isn't favorable.

Street Fighter V Here Comes a New Challenger! Karin Kanzuki

So the Silicon Era report months ago was legit, this reveal is the one I've been hoping for and for me personally this has brought the hype more than any other reveal thus far. I'm diggin Karin's updated look, the outfit retains her original design but at the same time makes her appear older...not saying more mature😋

And the new Japan stage is gorgeous! There's a lot of characters in this stage and it pays a little homage to Kens SFA2 stage and also incorporates aspects of Ryu's stage.
I've watched the trailer twice and there are a lot of characters in this stage, I see Karin's ever dutiful butler is back and I thought I saw Dan Hibiki hanging from tree on the left side of the stage. I will definitely be watching this trailer again!
With Karin's reveal the "blue zone/alpha zone" is complete, so we have 2 open in the"green zone/ SFII zone" and 2 in the "purple zone/ new character zone" I'm guessing the next reveal will be a green zone character...wil it be a SFII character or a SFIII like Alex or Sean?

Along with Karin's reveal Capcom Unity also announced the Capcom Fighters Network Announcement:

The Jungle Book First Trailer

I'm not a fan of reboots, or re imaginings of classic Disney animated jems.  I didn't like the changes to the Angelina Jolie's Maleficent, the live action Cinderella never made a huge impact, if it wasn't for Charlize Theron Snow White and the Huntsman would've been been awful, thankfully with Charlize it was just not good.
But I am excited for this live action version of the Jungle Book!
Scarlett Johansson as Kaa....sssssssssssweet!

Fear the Walking Dead My Thoughts and Impressions as of S1 E3

K
So we're now three episodes in and last nights had some decent tension, knowing where the world is headed from here makes watching the Clark family playing monopoly oddly unnerving knowing there are walkers lurking right outside.
The funny thing was I found myself putting each character in FTWD from Madison, Alicia and Nick Clark (Johnny Depp Clone) to Daniel Salazar and his barbershop familia in Rick Grimes family and only 2 members of Fear might survive....
I say Nick Clark and Daniel Salazar would survive in Rick's world which they are about to enter.....Maybe Liza Ortiz...Travis' ex wife.
Speaking of which, if no one has noticed yet FTWD has basically flipped the triangle...instead of 2 guys 1 mother...Rick, Shane and Lori. We now have 2 mothers 1 guy...Madison, Liza and Travis. I don't think we're gonna have a ctrl C, ctrl V situation in FTWD with Madison and Liza but I have no doubt there will be drama! Travis my man play it cool and you could be the first man with a post apocalyptic harem!
Also we still don't know a fucking thing about this "virus", but if you were paying attention it's already affected 11 states as of the 3rd episode...what ever caused this moves fast!
One of the things I enjoy discussing with my wife and friends is what would you do in the (__X character's__) situation?
If I were Travis, I definitely would rethink staying till morning...there will definitely be more traffic the next day! And why would you head east into a desert???? I know this show is a great deal of biblical references but I don't think wandering the desert for 40 years to wait out the zombie apocalypse is gonna grab the ratings. Personally I think Krogenar's got the right idea, become apocalyptic pirates! Commandeer a large yacht from some 1%er and head out to the high seas! YAAAARRR!

Street Fighter V Here Comes a New Challenger: Rashid

Capcom announced today the second brand new fighter for SFV, from a never before represented location on the erf...the UAE! Rashid of the Turbulent Wind.
From the announcement trailer his gameplay is reminiscent of a mix between Cody and El Fuerte, his design isn't terribly stereotypical as is customary with so many fighting game characters.
I hope he doesn't turn into a gimmicky character gameplay wise.

Next character reveal will be at TGS on 9/20....my guess is either Sakura or Karin Kanzuki. Hopefully the later!

Star Wars The Force Awakens 100 days remaining

The Force Awakens for a new generation in 100 days! I'm excited to share the fun and excitement of this sequel trilogy with my son as my parent shared it with me when I was my son's age!
I'm impressed how Lucasfilm and Disney have contained the leaks as well as they have, it's very difficult in today's day and age to keep a project of this caliber as secretive as they have.
I've enjoyed sharing my theories and speculation over the past few years and soon I'll see how in tune I am with the Force.
The Force is for all times and all generations. May the Force be with you!
P.S only 625 days until Episode VIII....
