Kittikaeris the Mule...more than just a pack animal, or is she?

With all my preparations for my upcoming avatar battles I've had to do some unique shuffling of my stuff. My inventory is bursting at the seams, my mog locker is overflowing and I have so much crap in my storage that I finally decided it was time for a mule. I'm not talking about Shrek's buddy, but a way of doubling your storage space for the low low price of an extra dollar a month!

Meet Kittikaeris my mule, she is what I almost made my original character.

Tuning Fork in the Road

February 26, 2006 I reached level 20 SMN, it was time for me to prepare for the avatar battles against Shiva, Garuda, Ifrit, Titan, Leviathan and Ramuh. With a decent XP buffer I raced to Jeuno and went on a shopping spree for level 20 gear I needed, I wanted Carbuncle Mitts but I doubt I'll be able to get the Carby Mitts on my own, so my next choice is white mitts. After I shopped till I dropped I switched to my WHM and teleported to Altepa desert and crossed the desert to Rabao, there I picked up the mini tuning fork of wind. Then I teleported to Yhoator Jungle and ran to Norg and got the mini tuning fork of water, then to San D Oria for the mini tuning fork of ice. Then to Bastok mini tuning fork of earth and then warped back to Jeuno and took the Airship to Zahzam for the mini tuning fork of fire. Soon I'll be heading to the six cloisters hidden throughout Vana Diel ringing my lil tuning fork against the Proto-Crystal and hopefully defeating the Avatar Primes. My goal is to gain the pact's with the avatars via the mini tuning fork battles, and latter collecting their whispers to open the moon lit path to Fenrir.

The Pilgrimage of Tryptifaeris

After unlocking many advanced jobs I began my pilgrimage as a Summoner, I was once again fighting bees and worms, in Gustaberg. Meanwhile Krogenar was working his way towards the final levels as a BST. I had been down this path enough times to know what I was doing, I reached lvl 10 quickly and moved to the Valkurm dunes and into PT torture. I was optimistic thinking by now most PT's in the Dunes were old players leveling new jobs....I was wrong.

Here is one example of why PT's in the Dunes can be such a mind numbing experience:

There was a lvl13 WHM in this PT that took 1 hit from a snipper crab and died! O.o I checked him to discover the WHM was wearing lvl 7 equip with an astral ring (50 HP converted to 50 MP) so not only was his HP dangerously low but he had very poor equipment for his lvl. The remaining members were equally unskilled...

Tryptifaeris: "/p Please voke off of me

"noob #1: "/p what is voke?"

Tryptifaeris: "/p thanks for PT invite I G2G, good luck ^^"

I ended up soloing in Konschat and Burubimu Penninsula and struggled to get 1600 XP, but I'm half way to 17 now.

Roots, Dew, Soul all ya need to be a Paladin!

After unlocking RNG I traveled to San d' Oria and unlocked the advanced job Paladin. The quest is three fold and you can actually do the first part as early as lvl 10! The quest to becoming a Paladin is givin to you by Balasiel in Southern San D' Oria, the first trial is simple; obtain a revival tree root. Balasiel tells you to travel to King Ranperre's Tomb to get one, OR just buy one @ the AH. The second trial by Balasiel is to journey to the waterfall in Ordelle's Caves, and bring back stalactite dew as proof of your visit. Stalactite dew is a rare ex item so I had to go. As a lvl 50 whm I could've ran naked thru Ordelles Caves and been fine. The third and final trial Balasiel gives me the book of tasks and then I had to show it to Cahaurme and Baunise in Southern Sandy. They in turn each give me a book of the east and the west and tell me that to become a Paladin I'll need to travel to Davoi, in Davoi I need to locate an unused well and bring back a Knights Soul as proof of my deed. I bring back the Knights Soul to Balasiel and in turn he gives me a kite shield and I aquire the advanced job of Paladin!
