Game Review: Namco Museum 50th Anniversary

If you missed out on the Namco collection for the PS1 this is a great addition to any gamers collection! 16 classic titles for $19.99, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Pac Mania, Galaga, Galaga 88', Galaxian, Dig Dug, Rally X, Pole Position, Pole Position II, Xevious, Dragon Spirit, Bosconian, Rolling Thunder, Mappy, Sky Kid. That's a dollar twenty five a game! The main menu has a sweet 80's sound track set in a virtual arcade. All games are one or two player and is great when you get that old school craving. It's very nostalgic for me, I can understand how kids today will look at these games and say they suck, but without them we wouldn't have Solid Snake and Lara Croft and Master Chief. Ya gotta repect the old school.

Going Quackers: AF2 battle

I have reached level 50 with my WHM (I put DRK on hold) Krogenar helped me attain my second piece of Artifact Equipment (AF2) for my White Mage, the healers duckbills. In order to get this footwear I went to speak to Narcheral again. Narcheral told me I needed to get a vile of Yagudo Holy Water and a pair of moccasins. The moccasins were easy to get, I bought a pair in the Jeuno AH. But the holy water is a rare ex item that cannot be bought or sold. So Krogenar and I headed to Castle Oztroja in the Meriphataud mountains to kill Yagudo Abbots. We traveled thru the castle till we came to a doorway with 4 levers, the correct combination opened the doorway to where the Yagudo Abbots were located. Krogenar Beastmaster unleashed one of his crab familiars on the yagudo and the the holy water dropped on the first kill! I was expecting a longer time getting the holy water...it usually takes more than 1 kill to get the rare EX item you're looking for but not this time! Thanks again to Krogenar Beastmaster!

Chaos unsheathed

Since I began playing FFXI I've been working on mage jobs, WHM and BLM. But the other day I took the Airship back to Bastok, while there I spoke to a young Galkan child in the mines district who mentioned that the legendary Dark Knight Zied was spotted in the Palboro mines. Rumor had it that Zied is the only adventurer to ever master the art of the Dark Knight.
I decided to seek out this Dark Knight, I found him in in the deep recesses of the Zehurn mines at the end of a trip down one of the underground rivers. He told me the path to mastering the power of a Dark Knight is a hard, lonely one, then he handed me an old, dull sword,

"this is chaosbringer, satiate it's thirst then return it to me after killing 100 foes".

I took Chaosbringer and returned to my Mog House to change my main job to WAR then headed to the Zehurn mines. That evening the walls of the mine were coated in blood and guts from the destruction I caused. The feeble creatures hit me with all they had but it was all for naught as I slaughtered every living thing in my path.
